Chanel hosted a wedding-themed show, the inspiration behind the show was family reunions and their joys, as creative director Virginie Viard mentions in a comment she made in her notes, where she says "I love big family reunions, when the generations all come together." The show was hosted at the Grand Palais which is Chanel's forever Paris runway and it was femininely decorated by Jacques Grange and the show was said to be a very intimate gathering, which I feel like mirrors the intimacy found when family reunite.

The wearable collection consisted of 32 looks, there were different styles presented from tweed blazers and skirts all the way to tulle skirts, as Viard thought of every woman through the thought process of making this collection, in her notes she says "I'm thinking about what women would like to have in their wardrobe today." As per couture tradition, the show ended with a white wedding dress being walked down the runway and most of the models sat down to watch the ending.
